Microsoft Display Dock

With RoBoHon being cool and a kind of internet sensation (and the talk of the town lately) it's hard to stay unfocused -- looking for all of the places where the world is screaming for PicoP.

I broke away from all that this morning to check all of my alerts, and found this. This SCREAMS for PicoP. Microsoft could drop a SONY engine into this thing and immediately improve this Microsoft device giving people a fully portable personal computer.

Of course we can already connect the phone to a display with HDMI, but making it work seamlessly with a keyboard and a mouse would be handy.

There is absolutely potential for MicroVision here. I'm not very patiently waiting to find out the clever way someone makes it happen.

"The smallest gadget in Microsoft's big Windows 10 device launch today could end up being its most important. The Microsoft Display Dock, announced alongside the Lumia 950 and 950 XL smartphones, is a diminutive box that enables Continuum, effectively turning a Windows 10 smartphone into a PC, complete with full display and peripheral support."

"It owes much of its magic to USB-C, the port-du-jour that combines power, data, and video signals into one high-bandwidth pipeline. That's present on both of the 950-series handsets, and it means with a single connection you can instantly hook up a desk's worth of peripherals."
