Sony has unveiled another cloud-based service, Playstation Vue, which will let users stream both on-demand and live television to their Playstation 3 or Playstation 4 without a cable or satellite television subscription. Sony intends to eventually bring the service to other devices, such as the iPad, and will be offered on a month-to-month subscription basis with no contract or termination fees.

Sony said the past three days of “popular programming” (whatever that means to them) will be available to stream without having to set up any recording, and networks such as CBS, NBCUniversial and FOX are on board already.
