What this has that Lenovo and Samsung didn't have is high-definition and focus-free operation.
I strongly suspect that this page from SONY, exists now only because they larger OEMS they're already selling components to have already been introduced to it. They are likely also dealing with NDA issues: the customers they're selling components to don't want it announced ahead of time either.
This Sony announcement tells us it's coming soon, and lets all of the second-tier OEMS know that it will be available very soon.
Mobile Fun
It’s a pretty impressive feat, and we can only imagine that Sony will try to bring such a system to a smartphone or tablet in the future. We’ve already seen both smartphones (the Samsung Galaxy Beam) and tablets (the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro) with pico projectors, but Sony might be able to find a way to craft a compelling experience in a way that its rivals have failed to do thus far.
